This was followed by a panel discussion aiming to address the impact of remittances on the social and economic development of receiving families, through greater financial inclusion, investment and employment generation. The session
analyzed the national context, covered aspects such as customer protection and market integrity, and the linkages with the sending end.
Following the session, a presentation was made to present the findings of the South Africa country diagnostic study, followed by a final session on the national remittance market and the role of the private sector in greater digital and financial inclusion.
