The Global Forum on Remittances, Investment and Development (GFRID) Summit 2023 took place at the United Nations Office in Nairobi (Kenya) from 14 to 16 June. The Summit, at its eighth edition, got together key stakeholders involved in the African and global remittance ecosystem, from the private sector, governments, regulators, and civil society. Participants deep-dived to learn more on the latest remittance-related issues, shared experiences and forged synergies aimed at leveraging the impact of remittances and investment for sustainable development.
The Summit is the culmination of the ongoing, UN-led GFRID process and recognized, since 2007, as one of the main platforms that brings together cross-sectoral experts in the field of remittances, investment and development.
