The Kenya Kwanza government is pushing for a banking and loan system for its citizens living abroad, with a strong focus on the United States. Through the foreign affairs ministry, the government is also working on strengthening Mpesa services, as it remains a key shareholder in Safaricom with a 35 per cent stake.
