Veronica Studsgaard, passionate about innovation & fintech that enables access to financial services for the world. She believes everyone has a right to access financial services to grow their business and improve their lives. Veronica has been working in the remittance industry for more than 15 years. Since founding International Association of Money Transfer Networks (IAMTN), Veronica has been working on bridging the gap between the public and private sectors, helping to unlock resources in order to reduce poverty and support local economic development. She works with partners like NGOs, policy makers and payment institutions to help them create the most effective, safer, reliable and efficient cross border payments systems possible. In representing the views of the private sector and the broader remittance industry, Veronica interacts with regulators around the world and key international bodies such as The World Bank, UNCTAD, FATF, IFAD, AIR, EC, FSB and many more. Prior to IAMTN, Veronica set up a money transfer company focusing on Eastern Europe, where she was CEO for a period of five years. Before that she had worked as Compliance Officer for an investment management firm authorised and regulated by the FCA.
