This time, our event kicked off with a warm welcome from the Mariatu Kamara, IFAD Kenya Country Director, setting the stage for an exciting gathering. Ms. Roseline K. Njogu, the Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, then took the floor with opening remarks that resonated with the energy of the occasion. The momentum continued with four presentations! First up, NCM & IOM representatives shared a sneak peek into the National Action Plan on the Global Compact for Migration 2023-2027. IFAD took the spotlight next, delving deep into the Diaspora Investment Section of the GFRID Outcome Report. Africa Nenda brought the focus to the dynamic realm of instant and inclusive payments in Africa, and Cenfri concluded the presentations with a flourish, unveiling the ‘Toolkit for enhancing the Remittance Access Initiative.’
The meeting wrapped up with a lively networking lunch, where attendees seized the opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and take the conversations further.
