The GFRID Summit is the main event organized by the Global Forum on Remittances, Investment and Development, bringing together stakeholders from around the world involved in the field of remittances, migration and development, to stimulate the creation of partnerships and long-lasting synergies among public and private sectors, and the civil society.
The first GFRID Summit was held in Washington D.C. (USA) in 2007. Subsequent editions occurred in 2009 in Tunis (Tunisia), 2013 in Bangkok (Thailand), 2015 in Milan (Italy), 2017 in New York (USA), and 2018 in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).
The seventh edition of the Forum will take place online, on 16 and 17 June 2021.
